Is Florida the right place for me to go to college and start a new life

Is Florida the right place for me to go to college and start a new life?
When I graduate I plan on moving to Florida and going to college there. I was kinda curious though, because I hear so much about big cities losing a lot of jobs, and I was trying to get a job at University Studios part time cause I want to do college at the same time. So what do u you think I should do? California or Florida? I was thinking about Georgia to? Help me out/

I live in California. I went to Florida to go to University of South Florida. I was not impressed with Florida, compared to living in CA. It was a bit backwards. Look at the prices of college. CA should be cheaper than Florida (once you have residency). You can go to a community college in CA for far cheaper than paying FL tuition. Good luck!
Answer 2 :
I just graduated from USF this past semester and loved it. I can't compare CA to FL as they are completely different. The people are different, the sights are different... It depends really on what you want to do with yourself. USF has great degree programs as well as FSU & UF. Unfortunately, a law has just passed to raise the tuition substantially since FL is one of the few states that hasn't risen the price of tuition in quite some time. As far as things to do, there are plenty! Beaches, amusement parks, etc... It all depends on whether you want east coast or west coast. However in FL, you have both to choose from. :)

Answer 1 :
the further south into fl you go, the more expensive it becomes. i'd settle on like tampa st. petersburg area
Answer 2 :
The east coast is cheaper living the father south you go in Fla how ever if you can get into the central area leesburg - eustis - are cheaper away from the ocean sites but anywhere from mid Fla east is cheaper the west coast is higher and the closer you get to the coast the higher it is because of tourist attractions but avoid Orlando ...Naples is a good area also.

It depends what you want to major in. Overall, though, I prefer the University of Miami because as a private university, it is able to bring in attract a more diverse student body and bring in more accomplished professors.
