want to go to florida community college

want to go to florida community college?
I am a New York high school senior. My grades are just above passing and I want to go to Florida for college. I want to go to a community college/city college that has dorm. I have no money except for 1. Financial Aid 2. Scholarships I *Might* Get & 3. Student loans I will ask for. Anyone experienced that could help me pull this off?

You need to start by finding the college. Do some on line research and get a line on what schools might have what you want. Then, contact the schools and start applying. Meanwhile, you will need some cash just to move, and get set up. A part time job now, summer job (in FL?) later. Community colleges are more often attended by local students, but many do have dorms. There will be "campus life" info on their website. You might also find a roommate, and be able to split expenses. It is quite common for students to take smaller class loads while they work and study. Your ambitions are laudable, but remember- a good education is not handed to you on a silver platter. Up through high school, its free. And as you have not excelled so far, it may be quite a challenge to manage school work as well as "life in the real world." Time to roll up your sleeves and do the work. Best of Luck.

Affordable Community College in Florida for outsiders

Affordable Community College in Florida for outsiders?
I'm from out of state and plan to move to florida. What is the most affordable community college? I plan to get an associate's degree in Information Technology......then hopefully get a Master's in in since I already have a BA in Liberal Arts. Help?

You could always just look at technical schools that offer certificates for that kind of program, since you already have a degree. It might be different for computer work, but for many jobs all they care about is that you have some kind of degree. As for an answer to your question...really none. Out of state tuition is insane, even at community colleges! I'd try to work with what you have and then maybe see what you can do about becoming a resident and getting in-state tuition, but that's usually very hard to accomplish. And I hope you're not planning to move to Florida for community college because that really just wouldn't be worth it. If it's for another reason then you'll just have to make due with whatever schools are closest with your city. Maybe go part-time for awhile to help with the costs.

How to convince parents to let me go to an animation college in Florida

How to convince parents to let me go to an animation college in Florida?
I was accepted to it, but parents change they're mind later to no after saying yes...3 times already. They prefer a closer school, but this school is top notch (digital media arts college).

My parents wouldn't let me go to an art college either, instead they insisted I go to a four year university. I did and I was miserable, I actually failed all of my classes the second semester on purpose (they were paying, I was pissed). So they let me transfer, but again, not to an art college... this time I went to a smaller private university. I liked it socially, but educationally I was miserable... after 1.5 years I stood up to my parents and said 'I'm transferring to an art college, even if it means I pay for it'. That was that. Where they completely unhappy with my decision? Yes. But once they saw how well I was doing and how happy I was, they knew they had messed up by making me go to the other schools. I now work as a creative director, traveling internationally at the age of 24, and living pretty great life...all of which would not have happened had I not stood up to my parents. If I could give any advice to someone who is in the same position as I once was, It would be to just do it... you may upset your parents at first, but this is YOUR future, not THEIRS. Hopefully, after seeing good things from you and the school you choose to go to, they will turn around like my parents eventually did (now they brag about what art college I went to, ha). I definitely wish you the best!

Take out loans and apply for scholarships and get a job while going to school. Many people WORK full-time while going to school full-time. It can be done and you'll be proud of yourself because you did it on your own.
Answer 2 :
Tell them that you want to get a good job because clothes can be very expensive in the matrix.
Answer 3 :
out of state schools are very expensive
