i got accepted into UF and turned it down after going on there tours ... its really not the kind of school where people can excel!! ur pretty much blended into the crowd and u dont get individual training. as for the college of engineering, which major are u talking about cuz it varies. as for the florida weather, i've been here 11 years and lemme tell ya ... in the summer, there are days when u can walk out of ur house and feel as tho u cant breath because its so hot!!! mosquitos, humidity, and sun like u wouldnt believe .. unless ur on the beach, it sucks!!! and then there's the rain that starts at 2 PM every single day and doesnt stop until its dark out ... so basically u can go to the beach in the morning, otherwise u'll get stuck in the jungle-like rains... and dont even get me started on hurricane season!!! i really wanna leave florida!!!
Answer 2 :
If you can get accepted to UF College of Engineering then you can probable get accepted to a better school. UF is huge and is having troubles with funding their school properly. I would suggest the following public schools over Florida. University of California-Berkeley University of Illinois Georgia Institute of Technology University of Texas Purdue University University of Michigan Texas A&M University Virginia Tech Pennsylvania State University UF is a huge school. They have over 50,000 students. Of course that means that you are treated like cattle at UF and the class sizes are huge no matter what major you are in. And that also means the student to faculty ratio sucks and the amount of money and resources spent on each student is less at UF than any other college in the above list.

Kara, please don't think IĆ¢€™m joking? But if you drive by a school in Florida you are just about qualified. I'm in FL and have a teaching degree form Oklahoma. FL schools are a joke. Also I hope you speak Spanish, their cutting jobs like crazy.
Answer 2 :
I know Florida State University has a pretty good program -- but they're in Tallahassee, a few hours north of Tampa.

Do I have to send my ACT and/or SAT scores to a non-four-year college, like Central Florida College

Do I have to send my ACT and/or SAT scores to a non-four-year college, like Central Florida College?
I am trying to go to Central Florida College and I was wondering if I have to send my ACT and/or SAT scores to them? I don't want to call my admissions guy and ask and look stupid. Thanks!

Yes you do! Good LUCk :)
Answer 2 :
The majority of colleges and universities require at least one. I would send it to them.
Answer 3 :
Yep, all colleges and university require them as part of your admissions so they can determine what level you are in depending on what you score during the preliminary test they require you to take when you've been admitted to whichever school you want to attend. If you have a question, just ask. it does not matter whether you think it's stupid or not, in fact, your question is a legit question for any new college student. Your admission representative would probably tell you what you need to do and where to send your scores to. Good luck!
Answer 4 :
You probably don't have to if it is a community college setting, however you will have to take a placement test instead. However, if you have already taken the SAT or ACT you might as well send them the scores and you can still take the placement test if you feel you could score into higher classes. If you still have concerns go ahead and call; I'm sure they get far dumber questions every day. Just ask them something like "Do you require SAT or ACT scores for admission?" and I highly doubt they will think it was a stupid question.
