I live in michigan and want to go to college in florida, what colleges don't cost that much?
I have absolutely no financial aid from my parents. Pretty much have no clue how or where i'm gonna go but I want a degree in accounting at a school that doesn't cost much. I mostly want to go to southern Florida near the beach or Orlando area. I've been doing a ton of research but most colleges are pretty expensive so don't know where I could go. Thanks for the help. And if it matters, I have a 3.75 gpa i think, maybe higher.

This website is the best for college related searches, you can find cost for in and out of state applicants, you can find out if you're illegible to get in based on your GPA and anything else you might need. The only catch is you have to have a user name and password to use it, it's a school only program, but since you're from Michigan, and so am I, I think I can help you out ;) http://www.careercruising.com/ then when it asks for user name - truman password - cougars once you get in there you can take a test to see what job is fit for you, look up any college, or any career you wish :) I'm going to Uof Tampa this fall Hope that helps! Good luck :)

lol. Everything in FL is expensive! I was born and raised in Orlando area ( Casselberry, Winter Park) and I would recommend the community college route for you, given your circumstances. Valencia CC or Seminole are great, and both by Orlando so you get the city feel and be near UCF, which will bring you a better social life. There is also plenty of student housing nearby. I don't know much about Miami but I'm sure the same thing would apply. Good luck

Yes, college is expensive. You can save some money by first going to community college then transferring to a state college. The least expensive tuition, of course, would be for in-state students. If you are not a Florida resident and want to get Florida resident tuition, consider working for a year - or whatever Florida schools require to acquire residency - and then applying for college.
