Answer 1 :
You need a bachelors degree to apply to vet school. You cannot apply right out of high school, and vet schools only care about your college grades and test scores, not high school. You can do the pre-vet classes at most large universities, not just the ones that also have vet schools.
Answer 2 :
There are no high school requirements. When you apply to vet school they will not have access to your high school information. Recommended high school classes include advanced biology, chemistry and physics courses to help prepare you for the college level courses. If you live in Alabama, then Auburn is your best option and if you live in Florida then UF is your best option. Both schools have very few seats available for non-residents and it's also very very expensive and staying in-state is always your best option. Since there are so few vet schools in the country, all of them are excellent and getting into any one of them is an extreme accomplishment. There is very little bias in the industry based on where a person went to school.
